Real Weddings : Alex + Antonio Miami Wedding

Lately, everyday has been just like Christmas for me because pictures from all of Lauren Daversa Events fall weddings have been pouring in, which is incredibly exciting! We work with incredible photographers and their packages are always little boxes filled with some serious goodness. Today I am happy to post a sneak peak from Alex + Antonio's October 9th celebration at the Westin Colonnade in Coral Gables shot by Ashley Colhouer of 1313.

Real Weddings : Daryl + John : Destination Wedding In Key Largo

Daryl + John. Just typing that stirs the pot for me, and in a really good way. (Prepare yourselves for a run on sentence)...I first met with this couple at a Starbucks, on a very rainy, Saturday in May, and from the minute I sat down, I knew their wedding was going to be beautifully-amazing in a unique way. It couldn't make me any happier to report - almost a year later - that their wedding was everything they wanted and more.

Daryl + John and I spent almost one year working together to create their special day. During my initial consultation, and throughout the planning period, I listen. Constantly and diligently, I listen. I listen to everything clients say. I read and re-read everything clients email or text. And this is key to being successful in anything. The other key is being able to use the knowledge you've attained through listening but that is a whole other post :-)

So I probably spoke with Daryl about once every 1-2 two weeks about all of her and John's dreams for their wedding. There were a lot of parts to their dreams, and Lauren Daversa Events of course found a way to tastefully incorporate every single design element they wanted into their wedding, short of a life size cutout of Barak Obama and Keith Olbermann. Daryl, we'll just have to save that for another time!

Seriously, from a vintage typewriter to cafe lights, sea glass to burlap, the exact shades of the blues found in the ocean...and this is literally five of ten, twenty, maybe thirty special details that were carefully (very carefully) perfected all to create the "best wedding of 2010". This was a prefect event, and I am not kidding, it was perfect. FYI, perfect events don't just happen...they are planned by Lauren Daversa Events!

On Sunday, one of my bride's sent me the link to their recent e-shoot. Before I even clicked the link I knew I would be posting their images on my blog, which is actually something I need to start getting in the habit of doing more often. It was actually my new year resolution! So, as I was scrolling through the AWESOME pictures Ashley Colhouer captured of seriously one of my fav-fav couples, Daryl & John, I knew I had to fulfill my resolution! These two are such a cute couple, so in love, and have the most creative ideas for their wedding. It's going to be a great event, but until then...

L | D Finds : Ashley Colhouer Wedding Photography Giveaway

My good friend and fabulous wedding photographer, Ashley Colhouer, is hosting her own 2010 Wedding Photographer Giveaway and she wants to hear from you! That's right, she wants to hear about couples who have an inspiring story or have overcome great odds and hurdles. If you tell her why they should be the ones to have Ashley Colhouer to shoot their wedding, then they may receive their shoot for FREE!

You have between now and February 10th to submit a couple that you feel deserves it, or even yourself if you feel that you fit the criteria. The winner will be announced February 14th. Here's what the winning couple will receive:

• 8 hours of wedding day coverage
• Online viewing and ordering gallery
• 2 photographers (Phillip and Ashley)
• Engagement Session
• High resolution digital negatives on DVD

Here are the rules:
• The story must be inspirational and/or about a couple that has overcome great odds
• The couple must have their wedding date and venue set in stone
• Ashley must have the wedding date available
• The wedding must take place somewhere in South Florida
• The nominations must be submitted via email to ashley@1313photography.com
• The email must include a photo of the couple attached to the email submission (they like to put a face with the name)
• The couple must be willing to allow them to put their story on their blog as well as the images from their engagements session and wedding!
